Now cut all the way around the pom pom maker.Īfter it is all cut, take your yarn and tie a piece around that space between the two halves. Take your scissors and insert them into the space between the two halves of the pom pom maker. When both curves are completely wrapped in yarn, close the second curve. When you get done with the first blue curve, close it and continue wrapping to the next blue curved piece. After you wrap a bit, slide all the yarn to the starting side so you can wrap more yarn onto the curve. Start wrapping the yarn around the blue curves, beginning on one of the sides that is closest to the middle white portion. Take the large pom pom maker and open both sides of it. For this wreath, I used the larger size (the blue one). Another nice thing is that it comes with 2 sizes to make big or small pom poms. I know you can make pom poms using cardboard but after making a lot of them at one time, I am glad that I had this tool to do it. 4-5 skeins yarn ( I used Lion Brand Hometown USA in Los Angeles tan, although it is more of a cream)įirst thing you will want to do is make a bunch of pom poms.Thank you for supporting my blog! It is very easy to make, anyone would be able to make this…trust me! I will say though that it took a little longer than I thought it would. It is now hanging on a door, just not the one I intended it for. This wreath turned out sooooo soft and cozy! I couldn’t bear to put it on the front door where it could get wet and I wouldn’t even be able to see it. I have to admit that I actually made this last year but it is too cute not to share, and the perfect wreath for winter! I wanted to make a winter wreath to hang on my front door and after looking around on Pinterest and seeing lots of pom pom wreaths, I was inspired to make one of my own. Welcome back! Today I am going to share my DIY winter pom pom wreath.
